GIF Movie Gear is a very easy to use application to edit, modify or create gif animations. Good for handling icons in PSD, PNG, BMP, and JPEG formats, as well as for creating AVI animations from the GIF original files. 24-bit colors supported.
The user interface is very graphical and easy to use. The animation is displayed showing all the frames, and users can edit or modify those individually.
Delays, color palette, timing, order, etc. can be managed by means of the user interface toolbar buttons. Animation can be previewed anytime during the edition process.
Same as the layers in Adobe Photoshop, each frame can be edited by itself using any of the user's PC image editors. Frames can individually be rotated, flipped, etc. and visualized by means of the Preview animation feature. This preview supports zooming.
The user can insert frames between two of the open animation frames. File will be automatically shrinked to match the existing animation format. The Undo/Redo feature offers unlimited operations. The animations can be automatically 'reversed' ('ping pong' effect) and the frames order can be changed anytime.
Also, the application allows to blend two different animations, frame by frame, or to add a new background to an existing animation.
The application offers the capability of reducing the color palette, to decrease the output file size, maintaining the animation features. Also, the output files can be exported as compressed (or not) documents as AVI, GIF, PNG, BMP, JPEG, ICO, ANI, CUR or layered PSD (Photoshop) files. |
